Class Room Management:
All students will have the privilege to learn in this class. Everyone will be expected to demonstrate maturity, kindness, and accountability when attending this class.
Electronic Policy:
** Use of electronic device is prohibited in the class
Discipline:
Each student should come to school ready to learn and to be a good student. Good behavior is EXPECTED in this class. I also believe we learn from our mistakes. Therefore, I appreciate your support in helping each student learn the importance of learning.
The discipline program for our classroom follows the same rules as used throughout the school.
**When a student breaks a rule or is acting inappropriately in class, they will receive a verbal warning.
**If the behavior continues, they will be assigned lunch detention, parents may be contacted.
**If the offense warrants, students will be referred to discipline administrator for further action. .
HOMEWORK:
*Unfinished Work: This will consist of math homework. Any assignment that is not finished in class will need to be taken home to be finished. It is student's responsibility to keep track of the work that needs to be finished.
** Occasional Assigned outside Work: This will consist of math quizzes or projects that will benefit the student in understanding class work.
LATE WORK POLICY: All homework is due the next day, unless otherwise stated.
ABSENT WORK: Students will be given 1 day for every day they are absent to complete and return the work. If they get their work before the absence, the work is due the day they return. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure they have the work they missed.
REDO'S: If student has any assignments that are scored below 70%, they should redo the assignment.
GRADING:
Students will receive letter grade. This will be cumulative grade for their work completed , quiz/ test score, midterm test scores, and final test score.
0 - 59% F
60 - 69 D
70 - 79 C
80 - 89 B
90- 100 A
MATERIALS:
· 3-Ring Binder
· Spiral Notebook
· Lined Paper, Graph Paper
· Pencils, erasers or pens
· Calculator any one of these 83+, TI 84, TI-89, or TI-Nspire CAS
ATTENDANCE:
Coming to school every day is very important. Make-up work will be required when a student is absent. When scheduling doctor appointments, try to schedule them after 3:15 p.m. It is also important for students to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and the activities at school.
